M. Marinelli was born in Termoli ( Italy), where she graduated from the city’s art high school. In 1997 she moved to Roma and attended the National Fine Arts Academy. She received her Bachelor's in Stage Design. Her thesis was on J.Pollock, " The affirmation of life between the body and the gesture".
She received her Master's in Stage Design from the European Design Institute (IED) also in Roma. Some of her Professors were: Sergio Tramonti, Oscar Netto, Silvia Codignola, Nanà Cecchi and Cappellini e Licheri.
Thereafter she immediately began to work in the theater. She worked on the stage design for “Alla conquista del Monte dei Cocci” at the Teatro Olimpico. She also worked on the design and installation on an exhibition on the work of the screenwriter Cesare Zavattini at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni  in 1997.
She worked as the stage design assistant for the play, "L'amore delle tre melarance" at Teatro Argentina where Emanuele Luzzati was the head designer.

She receieved a Professional Diploma in Theater Direction from the Teatro Studio  of Roma in 2002.
Her first work as director and stage designer was an adoption of Electra called "Elettre" in 2003. She was an assistant to Giuseppe Argiro' in a series of theater workshops for teens at the Liceo Classico T. Tasso, Liceo Scientifico Avogadro, Istituto Magistrale Carducci high schools in Roma.  During this period she was the assistant to the stage director Giuliano Vasilicò. At the same time she began to attend various acting workshops. She performed in "Hamlet Machine" with the Accademia degli Artefatti group at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni.

In 2004 she began to focus on her painting and scultural work, above all on the “Facets”series. Her work is in various private collections in Italy and in Europe.
In 2007 she began work on her moveable installation series M.I.M. (micro-installazioni- mobili). Two completed works are "Sabine" and "Kerstin”.
In 2008 she returned to the Fine Arts Academy and attended the program of Visual Arts and Performance, specifically in painting. She graduated with a thesis on the Sociétas Raffaello Sanzio entitled "Visual Autopsy-S.R.S,on the edge between theater and art".

Exhibitions
